All about energy
Controlled consumption
As we all know by now, energy production and consumption generate pollution and greenhouse gas emissions that are responsible for global warming. Our point of view? Contribute in our own way to greater energy efficiency: Hôtel Maxim Folies wisely adjusts the temperature range of its heating and air-conditioning systems between 19 and 24 degrees.
For water
Preserving resources
Water consumption has several impacts: on energy production and on wastewater pollution. If we take the example of the water used to wash clothes, it has to be pumped, purified and then heated: an energy-intensive process. What's more, even the most respectful washing of laundry still releases pollutants into wastewater. That's why Hôtel Maxim Folies is committed to careful water consumption: during your stay, your linens will only be changed at your request.
As a further action, the bottled water available at the hotel is filtered tap water. While the production of a conventional 1-liter bottle of water actually requires consuming an average of 2 liters (including manufacturing the bottle), filtered water significantly saves resources, its container can be easily reused and it is not transported in a truck.
For recycling
Easier waste sorting
In an ideal world, everything we throw away would have a second life. But to be able to recycle, the first step is to avoid waste that is poorly sorted and potentially contaminated with non-recyclable substances. At Hôtel Maxim Folies, waste sorting is carried out carefully: to facilitate the necessary separation of packaging/paper/metal, sorting garbage cans are used. In addition to involving the Hôtel Maxim Folies staff, you can also contribute to this precautionary approach by making use of the sorting garbage can provided in your room.

Shopping close to home is always a good thing. Knowing your suppliers and choosing them with a commitment to both the quality of the resources they use and their manufacturing methods is as essential as it is humane. Not only does close proximity reduce the carbon footprint associated with logistics but it also sustains the local socio-economic fabric. Hôtel Maxim Folies therefore chooses suppliers as near as possible to Paris or the Paris region: preserving biodiversity and ethical dynamics are values we share with our partners... and offer here, for your own lifestyle.
